Two numbers. Scoped to fit your business.
One setup fee and one monthly retainer. We publish the baseline so you know the floor. Anything beyond that is scoped to what you actually need, after a 20-minute conversation. No tiers, no upsells, no surprise line items.
Custom website. Designed, written, and reviewed by a real person before it goes live.
Founding client pricing: $999 setup.
Hosting, monitoring, security, and ongoing care. Your site stays live, fast, and current. You never touch it.
No contracts. Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days notice.
Every build includes the full website, end to end.
The baseline build is a custom 3 to 8 page website with professionally written copy, mobile-first design, on-page SEO, contact form, SSL, and domain configuration. Bigger or more complex sites are quoted separately.
- ✓
Custom static website (3 to 8 pages)
Built on modern web technology. No WordPress, no bloat. Just fast, clean HTML that loads instantly.
- ✓
Professional website copy
20-minute call or questionnaire. We extract your story and turn it into polished, on-brand website copy.
- ✓
Mobile-first responsive design
Designed for phones first, then scaled up. Every breakpoint tested, every screen considered.
- ✓
On-page SEO
Meta tags, schema markup, XML sitemap, image optimization, clean URLs. The foundations, done right.
- ✓
Contact form with email routing
Submissions go straight to your inbox. Spam filtered. No third-party accounts to create.
- ✓
SSL + custom domain setup
HTTPS from day one. We connect your domain and handle all the DNS configuration.
Payment flexibility
Setup fee is structured as three payments: $500 at signing (non-refundable deposit), $500 at first draft, and $500 at launch. Founding clients pay $333 per installment ($999 total). Monthly billing on your retainer starts the day your site goes live.
$39 keeps your site running.
The baseline monthly retainer covers everything your site needs to stay live, fast, and current. No platforms to log into. No plugins to update. No 9pm Tuesday emergencies.
The floor for every SiteCitrus site. Includes:
- ✓ Hosting on a global CDN
- ✓ Uptime & performance monitoring
- ✓ Security & dependency updates
- ✓ SSL and domain management
- ✓ 4 content updates per year
Need more? More frequent content updates, performance reporting, strategy calls, and custom features are all available, scoped and quoted per client.
You only pay for what you actually need.
Setup and retainer scale with the work involved. Here's what shifts the quote up, and why. Every number is broken out line by line so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
Scales the setup fee
- +
More pages
Beyond the standard 3 to 8 page build. Service area pages, deeper service detail pages, blog or news, team rosters.
- +
Custom integrations
Booking systems, payment processing, scheduling, third-party tools that need to talk to your site.
- +
Multi-location templates
Franchise models, multi-office practices, multiple service areas with similar but distinct pages.
- +
Self-serve CMS
Edit your own content when you want to. Most clients never need this, but it's available at setup if you do.
- +
Regulated-industry compliance review
Law, medical, dental, financial services. We add a compliance step to onboarding before launch.
Scales the monthly retainer
- +
More frequent content updates
Monthly or quarterly updates instead of the 4-per-year baseline. For businesses that change often.
- +
Monthly performance reports
Uptime, page speed, form submissions, and traffic stats sent to your inbox in plain English.
- +
Quarterly strategy calls
A scheduled 30-minute call to talk through what's working, what isn't, and what to change next.
- +
Custom features
Anything specific to how your business runs: booking flows, lead capture logic, internal dashboards, or third-party integrations.
Quotes happen after the 20-minute call.
We don't price-sheet add-ons because every business is shaped differently. After we understand your business, you get a single quote broken out line by line: this is your setup, this is your monthly retainer, here's what each line covers. No mystery, no upsells later.
Free, no commitment. We respond within 24 hours.
What being a client looks like.
Most agencies disappear after the invoice clears. We don't. Here's what the ongoing relationship looks like:
Month 1: Check-in
Two weeks after launch, we reach out to make sure everything looks right and answer any questions.
Every quarter: Personal check-in
A quick email from Carter: 'Anything changed in your business? New services, updated hours, new team members?' This is where your included content updates happen.
Every year: Anniversary review
A year-in-review summary plus a conversation about whether your site still reflects where your business is headed.
Common questions.
What if I already have a website?
We'll rebuild it from scratch using your existing content as a starting point. Your current site's copy, images, and structure inform the new build, and the result is faster, cleaner, and built to last.
Do I own my website?
You own all your content (copy, images, and media). We retain ownership of the underlying code and templates. If you cancel, we provide a full export package (static HTML, all media, copy document) so you're never locked in.
Do I own my domain?
Always. We manage DNS on your behalf for convenience, but the domain registration stays in your name. We never hold domains hostage.
What happens if I cancel?
Your site stays live for 30 days after your final payment. You receive an export package with everything (HTML files, images, and a copy document). No penalty, no hard feelings.
What happens if you're unavailable?
Your site keeps running 24/7 regardless. Every SiteCitrus site is static and hosted on a global CDN, which means there's no server to crash, no database to go down, and no CMS to lock up. For urgent support requests Carter aims to respond within 24 hours, always. For longer absences we maintain a network of trusted developers who can cover emergencies so you're never left stranded.
What counts as a content update?
A content update is any discrete change to content that already exists on your site. Typical examples: changing your business hours, swapping out a photo, fixing a typo, updating a service description, adding a new team member to an existing team page, changing your phone number, updating pricing, or rewording a paragraph. What doesn't count: designing a brand-new page, rebuilding an entire section, launching a new service area with multiple pages, or integrating a new third-party tool. Those are larger projects that we'll scope and quote separately. If you're ever unsure whether a request counts, ask and we'll tell you before doing the work.
Why one published baseline instead of tiers?
Every business is different. A solo plumber needs less than a 12-person law firm, and a tiered plan forces both into the same boxes. We publish the floor so you know what every SiteCitrus site costs to keep alive ($39/month, baseline). Anything beyond that, more updates, custom features, monthly reporting, and similar, is quoted after a 20-minute conversation. You only pay for what you actually need.
What can change the setup fee or monthly retainer?
Setup fee scales with build complexity: page count above the standard 3 to 8, custom integrations, e-commerce, multi-location templates, regulated-industry compliance review, and similar. Monthly retainer scales with ongoing care: more frequent content updates, monthly performance reports, custom features, and strategy work. Every quote is broken out line by line so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
Can I make changes to my site myself?
By default, you email us changes and we handle them (4 included per year on the baseline retainer, more available). If you want to edit content directly, we can add a CMS for a one-time setup fee, quoted alongside your build.
Do you use AI in the process?
Yes. We use AI tools to help write initial copy and build sites faster. That's part of how we keep costs low without cutting corners. Every word and every design choice is reviewed by a human before anything goes live.
What about regulated industries?
We work with law firms, medical practices, and financial services. Our onboarding includes a compliance review step where you confirm all content meets your industry's advertising requirements before launch.
Can I split the setup payment?
Yes. The setup fee is structured as three payments: $500 at signing (non-refundable deposit covering intake and drafting), $500 at first draft, and $500 at launch. Monthly billing starts after your site goes live.
